After giving it a good bit of contemplation and searching for a suitable and truly extraordinary helmet design, André Meckel from Germany, found his motif in the most wanted gangsters of the 30s: Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. In just two years, the gangster couple were responsible for 14 murders and were eventually killed by the police in May 1934, at the ripe young age of 24.
About the artist:
André Meckel lives in Meuselwitz, Germany. After having busied himself with airbrushing for many years by making use of books from various artists, he purchased a whole airbrush set in 1994 and proceeded to gain his first experience. As of that point in time, “airbrushing” became his new hobby. He began by spraying gas cap lids, then moved on to helmets, motorcycles, leather jackets, and computer encasements. Nowadays, he most prefers to paint photorealistic portraits.
