BACK TO THE FUTURE
Brazilian Neimar Duarte has always been a big „Back to the Future“ fan. For his bass guitar project, he re-watched all the movies, including documentaries about them and about Drew Struzan, the original artist of the movie poster. His work inspired Neimar, and it was a challenge for the Brazilian to paint the work using only the airbrush – a different technique. At the same time, he enjoyed the freedom that this difference gave him when creating his „fan art piece“.
Neimar Duarte was born in 1985 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He taught himself to draw with the help of magazines, books and the Internet. Through his passion for classic cars, hot rods and choppers, he discovered the airbrush technique and bought his first device in 2005 without any prior knowledge. He built his first compressor himself from a refrigerator motor. Since then, he has continued to learn. He does all kinds of airbrush and pintstriping work, portraits, photorealism, fantasy art, motorcycles, instruments, helmets, etc. He also works with Harley-Davidson dealers and music bands. In portraits, he likes to mix photorealism with fantastic elements to stimulate the viewer’s imagination. Since 2015, he has been a regular visitor to SEMA in Las Vegas, which inspires him greatly.
