On October 6, 2017, artists and companies in the airbrush industry will celebrate worldwide the „Airbrush Artist Day“, the international celebration day for airbrush art and technique. Featuring the motto „Be part of this passion called airbrushing!“ there will be events, exhibitions, artist meetings, special promotions all about the airbrush and all around the world.
Of course, „Airbrush Step by Step“ joins the celebration and for this reason created a special Facebook page, where people can share their ideas and activities for that day. The page can be found on Facebook by searching for „Airbrush Artist Day“, with the URL www.airbrushartistday.com or with #airbrushartistday. Also in Airbrush Step by Step issue 04/17 English version (Sept. 28, 2017), there will be an article and interview with one of the founders of the Airbrush Artist Day, Gerald Mendez. After the idea was born in South America, Gerald and his british colleague Andrew Penaluna discovered the right date: In historic documents they found out, that the name „Air Brush“ was noted for the first time on October 6, 1883, in Rockford, Illinois, USA.
